Tonight, I went to my first Richter Scales rehearsal in several weeks. I'd been busy with The Game through all of July. It was good to see the guys again and do some singing, but boy, did I forget a lot-- the rhythms in "Lazy Boy", the dynamics in "Where is Love", and quite a few notes all over the place. The problem is, I don't hear pitches in my head before I sing them. It's all sense memory. Maybe studying more theory will help me connect my intellectual understanding of music to the actual vocalization of it. Meanwhile, it's still fun.
