01/11/2003 Archived Entry: "PalmPilots for the Ent market"
www.gostyle.com Yes, it's true, in the grand tradition of the Amish laptop and other such endeavors, you can now get a wooden faceplate for your PalmPilot. Except that this is for real. I guess it's not too surprising, considering that other people have been selling wooden computer peripherals for a while. Granted, for most things, it doesn't much matter what kind of casing you have around your hardware. But for a PDA that's going to be banged around in your pockets, dropped on various tables and floors, and generally thrown about? Give me a nice metal housing any day. Besides which, if your CPU catches fire from overclocking, it won't set the whole device on fire. Oh yeah, if you don't know what an Ent is, you obviously haven't seen 2T.
